This policy explains what information CoastLine Transfers collects when you book a transfer or use this website, how it is used, and your rights over it. CoastLine Transfers is operated from Mombasa, Kenya and this policy is written in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
Information We Collect
When you make a booking or enquiry, we collect the following personal information:
- Contact details — your name and phone number (WhatsApp or voice)
- Trip details — pickup address, drop-off address, travel date and time, passenger count, flight or SGR train number where applicable
- Special requirements — for example, a child seat request or large-luggage note you provide at booking
- Conversation history — if you contact us by WhatsApp, the message thread is retained for booking and support purposes

How We Use Your Information
Your personal information is used only to provide the transfer service you have booked or enquired about. Specifically, we use it to:
- Confirm your booking and assign a driver
- Monitor your flight or SGR train arrival so pickup timing adjusts to your actual landing or arrival
- Contact you before and on the day of travel by WhatsApp or phone about your booking
- Respond to questions, change requests, or complaints
- Prepare monthly invoices for corporate accounts
We do not use your information for marketing unless you have specifically asked us to keep you updated. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own commercial purposes.
Who We Share Information With
Your trip details — name, pickup address, drop-off address, and phone number — are shared with the driver assigned to your booking so they can complete the transfer. No other personal information is passed to the driver.
Where a third-party payment service is used, payment processing is handled directly by that provider under its own privacy terms. CoastLine Transfers does not store or have access to full payment card details.
We may share information if required to do so by Kenyan law or a lawful order from a competent authority.
Data Retention
Booking records are retained for as long as they are needed for operational, accounting, and legal purposes — typically up to three years for completed bookings. WhatsApp conversation history is retained for the same period. Information you ask us to delete will be removed or anonymised unless we are required by law to retain it.
Cookies and Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4), loaded via Google Tag Manager, to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the site — including pages visited, time spent, and actions taken such as clicking the WhatsApp or phone buttons. This data is used solely to improve the website and does not identify you personally.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visits. You can prevent this by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings, using a browser extension that blocks Google Analytics, or visiting Google’s opt-out page.
Your Rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:
